Note: This position provides detention services in both the Kapolei and Honolulu locations. Therefore, this position requires a current and valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.
Hours of Work - Rotating Shift: This position is required to perform duties on a rotating shift basis and/or to be scheduled outside of normal business hours to support a 24-hour, 7 days/week, year-round operation.
Test Information: All applicants who meet the minimum qualification requirements will be required to pass an Attitudinal Test to be eligible for employment consideration. The Attitudinal Test is administered on Oahu. Candidates must report for the exam in person. We do not offer our exams online or out-of-state.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Assists the Detention Facility Superintendent in the direction and supervision of the various support and operational functions of the facility. Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day custody and care activities of a detention facility for juveniles; supervises the operational support services to complement the supervision of detainees. Serves in the absence of the Detention Facility Superintendent, and is subject to call in emergency situations during weekends, holidays and after work hours.
