American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and STEMI call availability.

Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
-
4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Late shifts required a few times per month
-
STEMI call required — approximately one week of call over the course of a 12–16 week period, including 24-hour call shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as evening/overnight call shifts from 5:30 PM–9:00 PM and 5:30 PM–7:00 AM

Must be prepared to arrive and be ready to work within 30 minutes of STEMI activation

Holiday coverage required as needed

EMR: Epic (CUPID module); experience required — will only be asked to monitor cases if proficient with XPER and Epic's CUPID

Procedures and equipment include: Orbital atherectomy, Rotational atherectomy, IABP, Impella, OTC, ECMO, flow wire, manifold, sheath pulling, and other Cath Lab adjuncts

Active NC or Compact RN license required

Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Cath Lab experience required with proficiency in standard Cath Lab procedures and equipment

Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

All RNs, regardless of specialty, must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance

Scrubs are required and will be provided by the facility
