People for People is looking for a part-time (80% FTE) Assistant Long Term Care Ombudsman for our Non-Profit organization located in Yakima, WA. This position is fully remote, operating out of the Wenatchee area. We are looking for a professional, creative, and dynamic person who enjoys working with our culturally diverse staff and community residents.
Summary: The Assistant Long Term Care Ombudsman will inform residents and the community about the Ombuds Program; provide education on and advocate for resident rights; and investigate and resolve complaints that occur in nursing homes, boarding homes, and adult family homes. The position will support volunteer ombudsmen in investigating and resolving complaints. The mission of the program is to improve the quality of care and quality of life for people who live in long-term care facilities.
Requirements:
- Two (2) years of college-related courses in a relevant field, and at least two years of recent social service or advocacy experience, or any combination of work experience and education which demonstrates the ability to consistently perform the duties of the position.
- Knowledge of long-term care services and experience working with people who are elderly or disabled.
Starting Wage: $23.26/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary Range: $23.26- $30.35/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.
