Boiler Tube Mirror Welder
We are seeking an experienced Mirror Welder with at least 3 years of power plant experience to join our team on a full-time basis. This position primarily supports year-round maintenance activities at a power generation facility under a long-term maintenance agreement. During plant outages, the successful candidate will perform specialized boiler tube welding using a mirror in restricted-access areas where direct visual access is limited.
The ideal candidate will have extensive power plant welding experience, strong GTAW skills, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds in challenging conditions.
Responsibilities-Boiler Tube Mirror Welder
- Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on boiler tubes and related components.
- Execute precision welds using a mirror in restricted and hard-to-access locations.
- Complete maintenance, repair, and replacement of boiler tubes and associated piping systems.
- Follow plant safety procedures, welding specifications, and quality requirements.
- Support routine maintenance activities throughout the year.
- Work extended hours, weekends, and outage schedules as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other welding and maintenance duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications-Boiler Tube Mirror Welder
- Minimum 3 years of power plant welding experience.
- Proven experience performing mirror welding in restricted-access areas.
- Strong proficiency in GTAW (TIG) welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret welding procedures and specifications.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and industrial environments.
- Must be available to work weekends and extended shifts during outages.
Required Welding Tests
Candidates must successfully pass:
- 2G Restricted Mirror Weld Test
- 6G Combo Weld Test
- GTAW (TIG) Root and Hot Pass
- E7018 Fill and Cap
Employment Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits

- 50 Hrs min weekly ,10 Hrs O.T
