Job Overview
The Windmill Restaurants are seeking dedicated and experienced Shift Managers to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining a positive atmosphere for both employees and guests. Positions are available in the following locations (Belmar, Ocean Grove, Red Bank, Long Branch, Brick-opening soon).
Duties
- Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of daily sales using POS systems.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting.
- Prior supervisory or management experience is essential; experience in training & development is highly valued.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
