As the Assistant Daycare Director at Kids Crest, you are responsible for assisting in the overall supervision of the childcare center, its direction, practice, policies and procedures.
Kids Crest of Country Manor is located at Pinecrest in Brainerd, a healthcare campus that is primarily devoted to caring for seniors in Brainerd, MN. With five age-specific classrooms, and outdoor play areas- there is plenty of space to explore and make everyday fun and unique!
Additionally, being part of a large campus-style setting provides special opportunities for both teachers and students. Teachers are able to take their classrooms throughout the building for a change of scenery and participate in special weekly visits with our senior living communities in intergenerational programming.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in overseeing daily daycare operations and ensuring compliance with all licensing regulations and organizational policies.
- Support budgeting, billing, enrollment, marketing, and parent communication.
- Help recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff to maintain quality care and appropriate classroom coverage.
- Build positive relationships with children and families while addressing concerns professionally.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped environment.
- Serve as Acting Director in the Director’s absence.
- Provide classroom leadership as a Lead Teacher and complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required.
- Knowledge of licensing rules, regulations, and standards for daycare facilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory potential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive professional relationships.
- Patience, professionalism, and tact when working with children and families.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.
