This is a contract role scheduled through December 2026.

In this machine tool manufacturing setting, you will execute a variety of tasks while receiving support and direction from a Skilled Trades Leader. As a Class 2 professional, you have already completed on-the-job training, ensuring you possess the necessary technical proficiency and comprehension to carry out these assignments effectively.
Toolmaker Tasks

Interpret mechanical blueprints to establish assembly procedures.

Layout floor plates by snapping chalk lines.

Set up camera stations and sealer equipment.

Erect safety fencing.

Mount upper cable trays.

Position and secure tooling.

Assemble framing systems.

Mount gate keys and light screens.

Review mechanical blueprints and bills of material to ensure project accuracy.

Perform unit assembly.

Execute drilling, tapping, and reaming of holes.

1/2 inch and 3/8 inch air or battery-powered impact/ratchet; small brass and ball peen hammers; 6, 10, and 12-inch crescent wrenches; 12-inch combination square; 2-inch polisher; 3/8 inch air or battery-powered drill; 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch ratchets; 6-inch calipers; 8-inch torpedo level; deburring tool; brass and drift punches; metric tape measure; metric Allen wrenches and sockets; metric wrenches; 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch Allen head sockets; scribe; 6-inch scale; tap handle; center punch; air grinder; 1/2 inch torque wrench (certified in-house); and feeler gauges.
