Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team oriented and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, full-service dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food and beverage hospitality industry. As a Server at The AcuSport Bar and Grill, you will be given the opportunity to create unique and memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring commitment to the highest standards of service and hospitality. In addition to representing the highest standards of food and beverage hospitality, you will also be held accountable as a steward of Hillsdale College Dining Services.
Performance expectations are as follows, but not limited to:
- Greet, and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- A positive demeanor, with a can-do team player attitude.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including specials, to enhance the guest experience.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
- Assist with cash handling and basic math calculations for guest checks.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $13.73 per hour
