Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)/Professional Engineer (PE).
The Dyer Partnership is looking for an experienced licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our Coos Bay office. Preference would be a dual licensed employee who has obtained a PLS and is a Civil Engineer (PE). Applicants with only a PLS and experience with Civil Engineering Design and Construction are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate with engineering design teams to scope and identify required survey and design work.
-
Conduct boundary, topography, and construction surveying.
-
Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys.
-
Verify data and calculations.
-
Record results of surveys.
-
Write descriptions of property boundaries.
-
Handle multiple demands and rapidly changing priorities while working both independently and in a team environment.

Perform research on legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify information about property boundaries.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
-
Prepare scheduling for staff.
-
Manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
-
Maintain accuracy and quality in work.

Work with engineers, and assist in the design of municipal civil engineering projects.

Prepare cost estimates, and contracts, and provide contract administration.
The position requires a self-motivated, talented, dependable, detail-oriented, dedicated PLS/PE who is able to multitask in a casual office environment that promotes both personal and professional development. The PLS/PE will be able to handle multiple demands, and rapidly changing priorities, and work both independently or in a team environment.
Qualifications:

Certified Professional Land Surveyor for Oregon. (required).

Oregon Professional Civil Engineering License for Oregon (preferred).

Ability to conduct boundary, topography, and construction surveying/stakeout.

Strong technical writing skills.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Project management experience.

Ability to work and communicate successfully in a team environment.

Enjoy mentoring learning Survey Technicians.

AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience.
-
Perform surveying with modern techniques and equipment.

Operate robotic total stations.
-
Utilize GPS, digital levels, and data collectors with the associated software.

Ability to operate power and hand tools including chain saws and brush cutters (machetes).
-
PLS experience (at least five years).
-
Civil Engineering experience (preferably at least five years).

Quality and accuracy shall be maintained in all work.
