Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate drink orders, recommend specialty cocktails, wines, or spirits, and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages following established recipes and safety standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry, sales transactions, and billing with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas, including food handling practices to meet food safety regulations.
- Assist with food service duties when needed, including bussing tables and supporting kitchen staff with basic food prep.
- Ensure guest relations are prioritized by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering a lively atmosphere.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing sales transactions efficiently using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
- Follow all sanitation standards and food safety protocols to uphold health regulations in a fast-paced environment.
- Support team members with general restaurant duties such as host/hostess responsibilities or food running when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated cocktail experience with knowledge of spirits, wine, and beverage presentation techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and sales management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to serving alcohol responsibly and maintaining guest safety.
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous; culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for supporting team needs.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining high-quality service standards.
