Job Summary:
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading the Quality Department and ensuring all products meet customer, company, and regulatory quality standards. This position develops and maintains quality systems, oversees inspections, investigates quality concerns, and works with multiple departments to improve manufacturing processes. The Quality Control Manager promotes continuous improvement while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with company quality requirements.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop employees.
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with quality management systems, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Experience conducting quality audits, managing Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), and implementing corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of inspection methods, measuring equipment, and calibration procedures.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and auditing practices preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management or reporting software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when handling quality and customer-related issues.
