Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic part-time clinical instructor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping future LPNs by providing expert guidance, mentorship, and hands-on clinical training. You will facilitate learning experiences across various clinical settings, ensuring students develop essential skills in patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare management. This position will likely be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with possibility of variation. Hours will vary by day and course of program.
Duties
- Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities
- Deliver comprehensive guidance on nursing procedures, patient care techniques, and medical terminology aligned with curriculum standards
- Evaluate student performance through documentation review, skills assessments, and direct observation to ensure competency in acute care settings, pediatrics, adult education
- Collaborate with faculty tailored to meet student needs and program objectives
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, clinical hours, and competency documentation in compliance with accreditation standards
- Participate in fundamentals skills lab during student practice and check-offs
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within clinical or educational settings in hospitals
- Strong familiarity with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Blackboard, or equivalent learning technology tools
- Experience in patient care settings across various specialties including ICU, primary care, senior care, pediatrics, and acute care environments
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts using clear medical terminology and documentation review techniques
Job Requirements
- Unencumbered LPN or RN license
- 1 year of recent nursing experience
