Summary
As a Dental Receptionist at University Dental Associates, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver outstanding dental care while managing administrative tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations effectively.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar using open dental.
- Verify insurance information and handle dental collections with accuracy.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding their treatment plans and billing.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and office management duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a dental setting.
- Familiarity with open dental or similar practice management software is essential.
- Strong skills in dental scheduling and insurance verification processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient service.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is an advantage.
