Operations Lead takes charge of the production areas & the necessary day-to-day needs. This member is required to adhere to written procedures & take direction from Supervisors.
Understands, and efficiently manages labor schedules as well as lunch and breaks schedules. Manages labor resources effectively to optimize production and increase line efficiency.
Possess the necessary skills to operate & maintain equipment to its optimal performance ensuring necessary throughput per production scheduling needs. Must have the ability to work in hot/cool conditions throughout the shift. Must be instrumental in protecting the product, have team building abilities, work well with others and administer any necessary on the job training to team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure all safety regulations & policies are being followed by staff members
· Ensure Food Safety regulations, allergen handling program and HACCP plans are followed
· Ensure all required PPE & GMP procedures are being followed by staff members
· Ensure packaging duties are being performed per CCP requirements
· Responsible for performing checks per CCP requirements
· Lead the area by example & encourage a team like atmosphere
· Ensure staff members receive proper training to their duties being performed
· Ensure materials are being compared to recipe
· Ensure equipment is set up properly
· Ensure equipment teardown at the end of the day
· Inspect equipment & tools regularly to ensure in good working condition
· Operate & maintain equipment to optimal production performance
· Adhere to all documentation requirements
· Ensure temperatures, processing, packaging, sealing, labeling, & palletizing are performed per specifications
· Ensure documentation entries & accuracies in data entries & paperwork logs
· Ensure finished goods are completed per specifications & moved to designated location
· Communicate with kitchen throughout the day to ensure OEE and case count goals are met
· Ensure proper & timely changeovers
· Ensure work areas are kept clean & tidy
· Schedule breaks & lunches for staff members
· Promote the Red Zone Commitment with Huddles, Handoffs and Actions
· Perform Supervisor’s duties during their absence
· Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· High school graduate or equivalent skills necessary to read & follow directions as required for this position
· Possess good verbal skills to effectively communicate with Lead Supervisor, Supervisor & Staff Members
· Legible writing skills as needed on production documentation
· Data entry skills as needed in document recording
· English communication or writing skills.
Bilingual English and Spanish (fluent).

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
