Truck Driver / Laborer
The City of Belfast is accepting applications for a Truck Driver/Laborer at the Public Works Department. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, be in good physical condition, and have a flexible schedule. This position requires a Maine Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License or permit. CDL may be obtained within 6-month period, as specified in the union contract. This is a full-time position with full benefits.
Compensation with CDL is $25.89 for the first 6 months, then $26.42 plus $0.25 if pass a 6-month evaluation. Automatic annual increase per union contract and 4-year step increases.
Hours of operation: 6AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday, 40hrs/wk with overtime + stipend (May-November) for holiday and weekend on-call duties.
