Hours: This is an exempt, salaried position with after hours and weekends availability when required.
Office Hours are:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm OR
- Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm (9 hours) and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8 hours), off every other Friday
Duration: 6 months, depending on program needs
Annual Salary: $118,750 (unlicensed) to $125,000 (licensed) per year
Education: Master's degree in a mental health-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required
Licensure: Licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC or Licensed/Waivered Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology required.

As a Program Director, you will:
- Provide overall coordination of the programs operation, including but not limited to, regulatory and contractual requirements, staff management, budgetary and financial matters, client care and quality assurance and control.
- Ensure program is operational and responsive to meet the strategic imperatives of the organization.
- Directstaff and ensure continuity of operations to meet contractual requirements.
- Provide effective leadership for staff to include the full spectrum of personnel management functions, including employment, training, motivation, evaluations, performance counseling and development.
- Act as a role model for client care as well as provide hands-on assistance for clinicians as appropriate.
- Oversee assessments, admissions and discharges.
- Maintain a culture of collaboration and consultation for client treatment.
- Serve as a liaison to community and government mental health organizations, as well as other agencies connected to contract compliance and client tracking.
- Attend agency and county meetings; provide reports and gather input as needed.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Clinical and management experience
- At least two years of experience in a mental health environment required
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of County Health and Human Services requirements is essential
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Previous training with Cerner helpful
- A valid California drivers license in good standing, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position
- Must be able to pass criminal/background clearance

Our Intensive Mobile Psychosocial Assertive Community Treatment programs (IMPACT, Downtown IMPACT, Senior IMPACT and South Bay IMPACT) provide intensive, community-based case management services for homeless adults throughout San Diego County. We deliver fully integrated services to clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance disorders.
Our programs utilizes the evidence-based practice of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) to support our clients in the higher level of community care and to assist them in reaching their goals and living a life not dominated by mental illness.
