Director of Marketing
Opus is hiring a Director of Marketing to own and scale the full marketing function across OpusEHR and our subsidiary brands. This is a hands-on, strategic role with a clear path to VP of Marketing for the right person. You'll be the driving force behind our HubSpot operation, SEO and PPC strategy, content engine, and multi-brand positioning in the behavioral health technology space.
About the Role
You will lead marketing strategy and execution across Opus EHR and our subsidiary brands, including behavioral health RCM and real estate ventures in behavioral health. You'll work closely with the CEO and Account Executive team, with full ownership of pipeline-influencing programs from day one.
Responsibilities
HubSpot Administration and CRM Marketing
- Serve as the primary HubSpot Admin, owning portal configuration, workflows, lead scoring, pipeline reporting, and integrations across all Opus entities.
- Build and maintain marketing automation sequences tied to sales outreach cadences for the Opus AE team.
- Ensure accurate attribution reporting and UTM tracking across all channels.
SEO and PPC Strategy
- Own organic search strategy for OpusEHR.com and subsidiary brands, from keyword research and content planning to on-page optimization and technical SEO.
- Manage PPC campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta) independently or in partnership with external agencies, with full accountability for ROAS.
- Evaluate and direct SEO/PPC agencies, including briefing, performance review, and strategic alignment.
- Monitor competitive positioning and search rankings, with a focus on behavioral health EHR, RCM/billing, and CRM-related terms.
Content, Thought Leadership and Demand Generation
- Conceive, write, and produce webinars, email newsletters, and press releases that position Opus as the go-to authority in behavioral health technology.
- Develop a content calendar that supports SEO goals, nurtures existing clients, and generates new leads across the full funnel.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Account Executives to align content with market trends, product launches, and sales messaging.
AI-Powered Marketing
- Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, Perplexity, etc.) to accelerate content production, competitive research, and campaign ideation.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI marketing platforms that drive efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Build repeatable, AI-assisted workflows for content creation, SEO analysis, and reporting.
Multi-Brand Marketing Oversight
- Lead marketing strategy across Opus EHR and all subsidiary brands, including behavioral health RCM and real estate ventures in behavioral health.
- Tailor messaging and positioning for each brand's distinct audience while maintaining a cohesive Opus group identity.
- Develop go-to-market materials, one-pagers, and promotional assets for each business line.
Key Performance Indicators
- Organic search traffic growth (MoM and YoY) across Opus properties
- Qualified inbound leads generated per quarter via SEO, PPC, and content
- HubSpot marketing attribution: pipeline influence and closed-won revenue tied to marketing
- Webinar and newsletter engagement metrics (open rates, registrations, attendance)
- PPC efficiency (cost per lead, ROAS) across managed campaigns
- Press release placements and earned media mentions
Qualifications
Experience
- 5–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Director-level role
- Hands-on HubSpot administration experience is required; HubSpot certifications are a plus
- Demonstrated success managing SEO and PPC programs independently and through agency partnerships
- Prior experience in healthcare, SaaS, or behavioral health marketing is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting multiple brands or business units simultaneously

- Exceptional writer; you can produce a press release, webinar script, or email newsletter that people actually read
- Data-driven marketer who can translate analytics into clear strategic decisions
- Self-directed and highly organized; comfortable owning a function with minimal hand-holding
- Collaborative with sales leadership; you see your success as tied directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes
- Comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level; a leader who will also roll up their sleeves
Tools and Technology
- HubSpot (Admin-level proficiency required)
- Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager
- SEMrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent SEO platforms
- AI tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, Perplexity, or equivalent
- Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console
- Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar for lightweight design work
Your Path to VP of Marketing
This role is intentionally designed to grow with you. As Opus scales, the marketing function will scale with it, and so will your title, compensation, and team. Within 12–24 months, a high performer in this role will have the opportunity to step into a VP of Marketing position with direct reports and an expanded mandate across the full Opus portfolio.
We're not looking for someone to maintain the status quo. We're looking for someone who sees the white space, builds the playbook, and earns their seat at the executive table.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $150,000 OTE, commensurate with experience
