Job Title: HVAC Technician
Pay: $34.00
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and construction information.
- Lay out ductwork, fittings, hangers, penetrations, and related HVAC components.
- Measure, fabricate, cut, and install ductwork and fittings with minimal supervision.
- Mark locations, shoot pins, and install insulation on ductwork, deckheads, side shells, and beams.
- Measure, build, and install equipment pads.
- Fabricate and install pipe-covering fittings and lagging with minimal visible seams.
- Fabricate sheet metal using shears and brakes.
- Mount and install HVAC equipment, valves, and air hangers.
- Transport drawings and required materials to the jobsite and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Accurately read metric and standard tape measures.
- Follow proper safety procedures and maintain tools and work areas.
Qualifications
- 3 years of progressive marine experience or 5 years of comparable trade experience in the construction industry.
- Working knowledge of HVAC practices, methods, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial insulation and sheet-metal fabrication.
- Basic mechanical skills and trade mathematics.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
