Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team and help drive the success of our retail operations. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
- Lead and supervise team members to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Oversee merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize sales potential.
- Manage employee orientation, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within retail or grocery environments.
- Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across shifts.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, purchasing, and retail math.
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic bookkeeping software.
