Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones, curriculum standards, and individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, numeracy, communication skills, and social-emotional growth for students with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavioral therapy techniques tailored to students’ needs.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral specialists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor student development and inform instructional modifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and communication logs with parents and guardians.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment by integrating educational technology tools and adaptive resources suitable for diverse learners in preschool through elementary levels.
Skills
- Proven experience in special education, early childhood education, or elementary school teaching with a focus on students with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, autism spectrum disorders support, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and the integration of educational technology.
- Familiarity with special education law, IEP processes, instructional modifications, and accommodations for students with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team coordination with other educational professionals.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Experience working with children who have neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or speech delays; proficiency in behavioral health practices is a plus.
