Green Lending is the exclusive mortgage lender for Kent State University, dedicated to making homeownership dreams a reality. We are a delegated correspondent lender, underwriting approximately 70% of our files in-house, while non-delegating the rest to other investors. We handle refinances primarily but are growing our purchase, reverse, and HELOC divisions.
Role Description
This is a full-time in office position for a Senior Processor in our Independence, OH office. You would be responsible for overseeing the processing of mortgage loan applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for communicating with underwriting, loan advisors, and third parties to push loans through the pipeline to closing. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The amount in or out of the office is determined by production metrics, and is likely mostly in-office over the first 1-2 months as you acclimate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Order and review credit supplements, income verification, appraisals, title work, and other third party items.
- Process loan applications through Encompass.
- Coordinate with loan advisors, underwriters, third parties, and other team members to ensure timely processing.
- Send initial CD's
- Resolve processing issues, difficult borrower conditions, and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan files.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on industry changes and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage loan processing.
- Strong understanding of mortgage processing procedures/guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Encompass.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with various loan products (conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, non-QM, etc)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
