Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Decorate cakes and other desserts with artistic flair to meet customer specifications.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the baking process.
- Package finished products for sale or catering orders, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment used in food preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and culinary techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of baked goods.
- A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays.
