Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician specializing in commercial overhead coiling doors preferably with experience in waste/recycling and linen chute systems, and compactors. Skilled in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and system repair, with strong knowledge of their working components. Experienced in field service operations across commercial and industrial environments, including emergency response and after-hours support. Committed to safety compliance, professional service standards, and efficient completion of technical work in demanding conditions. Physically capable of lifting, working at heights, and performing tasks in confined spaces.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Installation, repair, and maintenance of chute systems, compactors, rolling steel doors, fire doors, grilles, and operators.
- Preventative maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for motors, hydraulics, sensors, switches, springs, cables, rollers, and door operators.
- Pressure washing and cleaning garage doors, trash rooms, chute systems, and compactor equipment areas.
- De-clogging trash chutes and restoring proper chute system operation.
- Fire safety and OSHA compliance inspections, including door closures, safety features, and sprinkler systems.
- Emergency service response and availability for after-hours/on-call repairs.
- Operation of power tools, hand tools, pressure washing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Service documentation, work orders, inventory management, and customer communication.
- Ability to work independently, travel between job sites, lift 50 lbs, and perform physically demanding work in confined or elevated spaces.
Pay: $26.89 - $32.38 per hour
