Provide field diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and automated systems. Expect approximately 50% travel throughout the Midwest, including occasional overnights.
- Pinpoint issues and perform repairs on diverse material handling assets at customer sites.
- Carry out preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
- Install and help commission new systems and components.
- Document work thoroughly—service reports, parts usage, and maintenance logs.
- Set expectations with customers and explain technical findings in plain language.
- Operate to company and site safety standards without exception.
- Partner with internal technical support and parts operations to expedite resolutions.
- High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical schooling preferred.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems (exposure to material handling is advantageous).
- Demonstrated diagnostic ability and systematic problem-solving.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Comfort traveling up to 50% around the Midwest; overnight stays as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centered approach.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in warehouse/distribution environments with varying conditions.
