Responsibilities
-Assist dentists during a variety of clinical procedures including oral surgery, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
-Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary dental instruments, equipment, and materials while adhering to strict sterilization and infection prevention protocols.
-Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
-Manage patient records using electronic medical record software, Dentrix, to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding.
-Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques, including vital sign measurements, oral cavity examinations, and dental instrument processing.
-Support patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about oral health, and assisting with appointment scheduling using patient management software.
-Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission.
-Inventory management of dental materials and basic office needs
Requirements
-Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with demonstrated experience in restorative dentistry.
-Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare infection prevention and control standards.
-Hands-on experience with dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental sterilization tools.
-Knowledge of EMR system Dentrix
-Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control protocols.
-Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry and supporting diverse clinical procedures.
