We're looking for a motivated, experienced General Manager to lead our growing team, improve operations, and help take Stage 4 Motorsports to the next level.
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of Stage 4 Motorsports. This individual will lead the team, ensure projects are completed efficiently, maintain exceptional customer service, oversee shop productivity, drive sales, and continuously improve business operations.
This is a leadership position requiring strong communication skills, organization, accountability, and a passion for the automotive performance industry.
Responsibilities Leadership & Operations
- Lead daily morning production meetings with technicians
- Assign and prioritize daily work orders
- Monitor workflow and technician productivity
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget
- Resolve production bottlenecks
- Develop and improve shop processes and SOPs
- Hold employees accountable to company standards
- Maintain a positive, professional team culture
Customer Experience
- Communicate with customers regarding repairs and build progress
- Schedule appointments and manage shop capacity
- Provide estimates and answer technical questions
- Resolve customer concerns professionally
- Ensure every customer receives exceptional service
Sales & Business Development
- Assist with performance parts and service sales
- Identify upsell opportunities
- Help achieve monthly revenue and profitability goals
- Build relationships with vendors and customers
- Support marketing promotions and company events
Shop Management
- Ensure shop remains clean, organized, and professional
- Monitor inventory and ordering needs
- Coordinate deliveries and vendor relationships
- Ensure equipment is maintained
- Enforce safety procedures and quality control
Team Development
- Train and mentor employees
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Assist with hiring and onboarding
- Foster accountability and continuous improvement
Administrative Duties
- Manage scheduling software and repair orders
- Review invoices and estimates for accuracy
- Track KPIs and shop performance
- Maintain documentation and customer records
QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of automotive management experience
- Strong knowledge of performance and aftermarket vehicles
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
Preferred
- Experience with European and exotic vehicles
- Experience with Shop Management software (Shopmonkey preferred)
- Performance or aftermarket industry experience
- Sales experience
- Project management experience
