WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join a state‑of‑the‑art healthcare system in Edison, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced technology and a highly skilled clinical team.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
Job Function:

Shift & Hours: 36 hrs/ 3x12 Nights 7pm7am
Provide direct respiratory therapy under medical direction for the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of acute hospital patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
Perform critical intubation assistance alongside comprehensive ventilator setup, calibration, and continuous management.
Gather and synthesize all clinical data necessary to properly evaluate complex patient needs, utilizing targeted testing and direct consultations with the broader interdisciplinary medical team.
Provide and clearly document comprehensive, disease-specific education to patients and their designated caregivers in an easily understandable manner.
Develop an active rapport and mutual respect with patients, family members, and facility team members to foster an optimum clinical environment.
Adhere strictly to department policy and procedure manuals, documenting all aspects of respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment usage accurately.
Maintain a highly professional demeanor during regular contact with medical personnel, facility staff, patients, and healthcare visitors.
Job Requirements:
Proven ability to learn quickly, think critically, and adapt smoothly to rapidly shifting patient needs in a high-acuity hospital environment.
A strong sense of personal accountability, an exceptional focus on clinical teamwork, and a distinct passion for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
Current, valid, and unencumbered Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner License for the State of New Jersey.
National Registry: Current and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Life Safety Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful graduate of an accredited, formal program in Respiratory Therapy.
