The Dept of OBGYN, at the Univ of IL College of Medicine Peoria, located in a mid-sized metropolitan area, is seeking full-time Research Assistant Professor to assist the department w/ the following responsibilities:
Under direction & supervision, design, develop, and conduct quantitative and/or qualitative studies and analyses in and related to women's health and closely related topics, including managing and leading research projects for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific meetings; Conduct research to better understand diseases as they relate to women's health and the improvement of women's health; Evaluate the effects of drugs and other outside factors that may or may not impact women's health, and how local public health departments can better aid women's health overall; Formulate experimental methods and conduct research studies and analyses; Provide research-oriented teaching and leadership for physicians, faculty, and residents; Seek, prepare, and submit applications for external funding; Perform other University service and job responsibilities as assigned and time-permitting. No travel is required for this position. This position minimally requires a Ph.D. degree or its foreign equivalent in Public Health, Women's Health, Nutritional Sciences, or related field of study.
