Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QuickBooks and Retail Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing retail sales transactions, operating cash registers, and utilizing QuickBooks accounting software to ensure accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, retail product knowledge, and the ability to supervise daily store operations. Bilingual abilities and excellent communication skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and sales recording.
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos, and upsell items to enhance sales.
- Maintain stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure product availability.
- Use QuickBooks software to record sales data, process invoices, and manage financial transactions related to retail activities.
- Ensure excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers or vendors over the phone.
- Supervise store operations during shifts, including supervising staff and ensuring adherence to store policies.
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring the store environment is inviting and organized.
- Provide training or guidance on retail procedures such as cashiering, basic math calculations, and retail math concepts.
- Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is required; supervisory experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential.
- Experience using QuickBooks accounting software for sales or financial record management is highly desirable.
- Bilingual proficiency in [specify languages if applicable] is a strong advantage for serving diverse customers.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques and product demonstrations to increase sales.
