- Operate floor care equipment including buffing machines and floor polishers to maintain glossy, well-kept surfaces
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support building operations
- Prepare residential painting touch-ups or minor repairs to enhance the appearance of the property when required
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures
- Skilled in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors for a professional finish
- Knowledge of custodial practices for both residential and commercial settings with attention to detail
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently, including vacuums, buffers, and pressure washers
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting touch-ups is a plus
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during shifts
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues accurately
