Come join our team at All American Youth Sports Photo, we are a team and Individual youth sports photo company needing photographers for weekend work taking posed team and individual photos. NOT ACTION PHOTOS.! Our Staff Photographers are the best of the best at taking photos of children at League Sport Picture Days. We have seasonal work throughout the year and most work is Saturdays and Sundays. Our lead photographers work 30-40 jobs per year, and we have others that just work a few. All American Youth Sports Photo has been the leader in event photography in California since 1988.
Our Staff Photographers:
- are hardworking leaders,
- continually training seasonal photographers to be their best,
- are constantly producing high quality imagery,
- help maintain, manage, and pack photography equipment,
- become experts with our specific equipment,
- overcome obstacles and last-minute changes,
- stay on schedule with a smile,
- show a “can-do” attitude to the entire photography team,
- have strong mental fortitude and can grow from feedback,
- are constantly getting better at their craft.
Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience in Volume (School Picture Day/League Sports Picture Day) Photography.
- Extensive hands-on experience.
- Extensive photography knowledge of theory and application.
- You must have a DSLR with an appropriate lens 28-70 or 35-70 or 30-55 mm, etc. No long lens. You also need a flash but if you don't have one we will lend you one.
- The ability to build relationships while developing the skills of others.
- Being equipped to calmly handle fast paced and hectic environments.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive full size vans.
- Ability to learn and retain training quickly.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must have a well maintained personally owned vehicle and cell phone.
- College graduates are preferred, as are former team sport athletes.
THIS POSITION WILL WORK AFTERNOONS, EVENINGS, AND WEEKENDS. SCHEDULE WILL CHANGE WEEKLY.
I need you to send me some details about yourself, your education and any relevant experience. You MUST have a reliable car to do this job. If you have a friend or significant other, I often hire couples or friends to work together. The photographer pay starts at $20.00 per hour (plus overtime if applicable). We also pay mileage at $.50 per mile. Average shoots are 6-10 hours of paid time (4 hrs pay guaranteed). This is high volume cookie cutter photography where the creativity is getting the kid to smile. Some weekends you must be able to get out of bed as early as 5 a.m. and this means forgoing some weekend partying (can you do that?) because if you fail to show at a job you leave hundreds of families disappointed and angry. Tell me about yourself and I will get back to you and explain how we run our photo shoots. If you just say "I'm interested" I won't respond. I only respond to those who actually respond with details about themselves and why a weekend job working at parks taking photos of kids would be a good fit for them.
