Position Overview
A behavioral health residential treatment program for women is hiring a Night Shift Registered Nurse to provide overnight nursing care in a setting focused on detox, substance use recovery, and primary mental health care. This role includes patient assessment and monitoring, medication administration, crisis response, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and effective overnight nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support during overnight hours
- Assess and monitor clients experiencing detox and recovery processes
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status throughout the shift
- Administer medications as prescribed by the medical team and document administration
- Respond to urgent behavioral health and medical concerns with appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team and ensure handoff communication with day shift
- Provide patient education and support around recovery, medication compliance, and health management
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and ensure adherence to facility protocols
- Report clinical concerns and changes in patient status to supervising providers and leadership
Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Knowledge of or experience in behavioral health, detox, or substance use recovery nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in crisis situations
- Excellent teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently during night shift while following clinical protocols and scope of practice
Pay: $37.00 per hour
