Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive preventive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and periodontal charting.
- Obtain high-quality digital radiographs while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories, periodontal findings, radiographs, and clinical conditions.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, periodontal health, nutrition, and preventive dental care.
- Assist the doctor in identifying restorative, periodontal, and preventive treatment needs.
- Accurately document clinical findings and treatment using Dentrix.
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
- Ensure treatment rooms and instruments are properly prepared and sterilized.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience through compassionate, professional care.
Qualifications
- Current Nevada Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
- Local anesthesia certification (preferred, if applicable).
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience with Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
