Leap Into Learning is seeking an experienced, reliable, and enthusiastic Driver to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face that starts and ends our students' school days, ensuring they travel safely, happily, and securely.
What You’ll Do (Core Functions):
- Safe Transportation: Safely pick up and drop off children at local elementary schools for morning, kindergarten, and afternoon bus runs.
- On-Board Leadership: Maintain a positive, orderly environment on the bus, seamlessly balancing safe driving practices with attentive child supervision.
- Safety First: Ensure strict adherence to all safety rules, traffic regulations, and defensive driving practices.
- Vehicle Care & Operations: Manage the general upkeep, cleanliness, and routine maintenance monitoring of your assigned vehicle, alongside assisting with special errands or functions requested by management.
Job Essentials & Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a proven track record of safe, unimpaired driving.
- Ability to maintain a physically, mentally, and emotionally safe and stable environment for the children in our care.
- Exceptional situational awareness, staying awake, alert, and fully focused throughout the duration of your workday.
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions regarding child safety and immediately detect potential hazards in group settings.
- Physical readiness to lift up to 40 pounds and the agility to immediately run and retrieve a child if an urgent safety situation arises.
- Ability to perform First Aid and CPR (training will be provided).
