Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee construction and remodeling projects from planning through completion. This individual will be responsible for estimating, scheduling, permitting, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate is an organized leader with strong residential construction experience who thrives in a fast paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple residential construction and remodeling projects simultaneously.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Prepare and review project estimates and material takeoffs.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and code compliance.
- Develop and manage project schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Order materials and monitor project budgets.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and progress.
- Identify and resolve construction challenges.
- Review and manage change orders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Continuously improve construction processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential construction management experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical plans.
- Experience managing residential permits and inspections.
- Proven estimating and budgeting experience.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of kitchens, bathrooms, additions, framing, drywall, flooring, windows, doors, and finish work.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Experience with construction management software is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Experience
- Residential remodeling or homebuilding.
- Restoration or insurance repair projects.
- Multi location construction operations.
- Knowledge of accessibility or universal design is a plus.
- Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, JobTread, Zoho, or similar platforms.
