This role oversees the Chamber's marketing operations, content strategy, media relations, brand management, project workflows, and communications initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership.
This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role—not a traditional management layer—designed for someone who enjoys building systems, improving processes, driving execution, and elevating the work of a high-performing team. The Director will oversee day-to-day marketing and communications operations, manage internal and external partners, and help strengthen the Chamber's reputation on the regional, national, and global stage.
The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing and communications leader with strong media expertise, exceptional judgment, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

- Manage relationships with external vendors including photographers, videographers, PR partners, and design contractors
- Identify and eliminate recurring bottlenecks; build sustainable process fixes that don't require heroics to maintain

· Ensure consistent messaging and visual brand standards across all communications and member-facing materials.
· Partner with internal departments to translate complex policy and business initiatives into engaging content for a variety of audiences.
AI Tools & Systems Infrastructure
- Own the department's AI tooling strategy: govern prompt standards, build reusable workflows, and train team members to use AI tools as force multipliers
- Develop and maintain AI-assisted content templates for recurring formats that reduce production time without sacrificing quality
- Identify automation opportunities across the content lifecycle – from intake to scheduling to reporting – and implement them in partnership with IT and the CMCO
- Stay current on emerging communications technologies and translate relevant developments into practical team capabilities
