We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as a Cashier/Buyer/Social Media Poster. This multifaceted role combines customer service excellence, retail/resale merchandising, product purchasing, and engaging social media content creation. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist in merchandising by stocking racks, arranging displays, and ensuring products are well-presented by style, color, and size
- Remain knowledgeable on current trends and target demographics
- Create social media posts, increasing online visibility on our E-Commerce platform
Requirements
- Availability Friday - Sunday throughout the Summer and School Year (not seasonal)
- Own a working, unlimited cell phone to assist in product pictures and price searching
- Previous cashiering experience with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual abilities (preferred-but not necessary) for effective customer interactions
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and merchandising principles
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math percentage calculations
- Experience with retail or resale stores is a plus, but not mandatory
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking racks, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for extended periods of time; work alone or as a team
