Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and measurement tools will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing while working with advanced equipment and technology. This is NOT a programming position.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce parts according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents accurately to ensure precise fabrication.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for programming and optimizing machine operations.
- Conduct dimensional measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify part accuracy in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on industrial equipment including Fanuc controls, press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses.
- Follow safety standards rigorously to maintain a safe working environment; utilize proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, tooling setup, and packaging of finished products.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
- Proficiency with CNC programming languages and CAM software; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of shop math, precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers), GD&T principles, and basic shop math skills.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and factory safety standards in production environments.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing documentation accurately and work efficiently under production deadlines.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, tooling setups, and fabrication techniques.
Join us in a fast-paced environment where your skills will directly impact the quality of our products! We value safety, precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement — all while providing a supportive workplace dedicated to your growth in manufacturing excellence.
