This contract opportunity offers flexibility, accepting either one full-time provider or a combination of two to three part-time professionals to address student needs for the 2026-2027 academic year. On-site engagement is required, allowing you to connect with students and collaborate with educational teams in-person.
You'll work closely with another Physical Therapist and a Physical Therapy Assistant, traveling between schools within a well-coordinated schedule. Caseload assignments are shared among the team, with a focus on delivering both direct and indirect services that help students reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Active professional Physical Therapy licensure in Florida
- Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred, though not mandatory
- Adaptability to work as an itinerant therapist across assigned schools
- Ability to engage effectively with students in grades K-12 and Pre-K
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized PT plans for students
- Provide both direct therapy and consultative support to educators and families
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting
