Position Summary
We're looking for warm, dependable, and hospitality-minded Baristas to join our team. Whether you have years of coffee experience or this is your first café job, we're looking for people who genuinely enjoy serving others and working as part of a team.
As a Barista, you'll prepare beverages, welcome customers, maintain a clean café, take orders on the Point of Sale (POS), and help create an environment where every guest feels at home.
Responsibilities
Coffee & Customer Experience
- Prepare espresso beverages, brewed coffee, teas, and other menu items according to Neighborhood Coffee recipes and standards.
- Deliver warm, genuine hospitality to every customer.
- Learn and maintain drink quality and consistency.
- Help customers navigate the menu and answer questions.
- Keep the café clean, organized, and welcoming throughout every shift.
- Gather customer feedback and share ideas to continually improve the customer experience.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with teammates during busy service periods.
- Support the Lead Barista and Owner in maintaining a positive team culture.
- Be open to coaching, feedback, and continuous learning.
- Help train new team members as you gain experience.
Operations
- Follow opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety standards and safety for customers and staff.
- Restock supplies and keep workstations organized.
- Accurately operate the point of sale (POS) system and handle customer transactions.
- Assist with inventory counts and notify the Lead Barista or Owner when supplies are running low.
Problem Solving
- Address customer concerns with professionalism and kindness.
- Ask questions and seek support when needed.
- Remain calm, organized, and positive during busy periods.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- A genuine interest in hospitality and serving others.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Weekday availability.
- Coffee or food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
