Painter’s Helper Responsibilities
- Assist painters with preparation and cleanup
- Mask and protect floors, furniture, windows, and surrounding areas
- Sand, scrape, caulk, patch, and prime surfaces
- Move materials, ladders, and equipment
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow instructions from the Lead Painter, Foreman, and Project Manager
- Learn professional painting and finishing techniques
Qualifications
- Painting, drywall, tape and float, or remodeling experience preferred
- Lead Painter applicants must have proven professional painting experience
- Must be dependable and report to work on time
- Must be able to work safely from ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must have reliable transportation to the office or designated meeting location
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Must work well with a team and maintain a professional attitude
- Drug- and alcohol-free workplace
