Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to inspire and support students with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), adapt instructional strategies, and foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and social-emotional development. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students’ unique abilities, including those with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals.
- Implement instructional modifications and behavioral management strategies to support student success in the classroom.
- Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and facilitate communication with students.
- Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to evaluate student progress and inform instruction.
- Collaborate regularly with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, counselors, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support for students’ academic and developmental needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior management plans, and communication logs with parents or guardians.
Skills
- Proven experience working with students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and instructional modifications.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff.
- Expertise in behavior management techniques tailored for students with special needs.
- Ability to integrate educational technology into lesson planning and classroom activities.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, literacy education, math instruction, and sensory integration strategies.
- Skilled in classroom management within diverse learning environments such as Montessori or preschool settings.
- Experience working with children in private school or early intervention programs is a plus.

Pay: $45.00 - $49.50 per hour
