Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and organize inventory efficiently.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management software to accurately track inventory levels and update stock records in real-time.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, stocking, packing, and order picking with attention to safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for shipment, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring proper packaging.
- Conduct inventory control activities such as cycle counts, stock audits, and maintaining accurate records using warehouse management systems like AS400.
- Follow safety protocols diligently by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to OSHA guidelines, and operating heavy equipment responsibly.
- Support warehouse operations by coordinating with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient materials handling.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution or logistics environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, RF scanners, and material handling equipment operation.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, or forklift trucks is desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards related to warehouse operations and heavy lifting.
- Previous roles involving order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, or warehouse supervision will be considered an asset.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing tasks.
- Strong technical proficiency with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms is advantageous.
