Job Summary:
As a Host, you are the first and last point of contact for our Guests, presenting a positive first impression of our friendliness, service, and high standards. You will greet Guests warmly, manage waitlists, escort Guests to their tables, and ensure a seamless hand-off to our service staff. The ideal candidate is attentive, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining areas and present menus.
- Inform Guests of wait times, promotions, and the server assigned to them.
- Monitor and manage Guest flow in dining and bar areas.
- Answer incoming calls professionally and provide information as needed.
- Anticipate Guest needs (e.g., beverage refills) while balancing seating responsibilities.
- Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages.
- Handle payments for ToGo orders, including cash and credit transactions, and reconcile cash drawer.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Guests.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting wherever needed.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of food & beverage or related experience in an upscale setting.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, outgoing, and naturally curious personality with passion for extraordinary service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and assist Guests proactively.
- Comfortable standing/walking for entire shifts, carrying trays or supplies (10–30 lbs.), and performing light housekeeping duties.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Guests, staff, and management both in-person and on the phone.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varied shifts.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in hospitality or spa/fitness industry.
- Previous guest relations training.
- Experience with Micros POS system.
- Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
