One Security is seeking disciplined, professional, and dependable individuals for a full-time Armed Security Officer position based in the Salem area. The ideal candidate will be available to work any shift (days/swing/overnights). Reliability and consistency are key elements to this position. Officers in this role must be prepared to work day shift, swing shift, and overnight shift assignments depending on company need.
We currently have enough hours for two full-time officers in this role, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking steady full-time work with additional overtime potential.

Key Responsibilities of an Armed Security Professional
Access Control and Force Protection
Control entry and egress at designated access points
Verify authorized access and inspect identification as required
Screen personnel, vehicles, and visitors according to site standards
Maintain force protection measures and detailed access logs
Secure gates and access points during non-operational hours or heightened security conditions
Patrol and Site Presence
Conduct foot patrols, vehicle patrols, or combined patrols depending on assignment
Inspect buildings, perimeters, key access points, and other critical areas
Remain active and engaged throughout the shift
Identify and report abnormalities, security concerns, and operational issues promptly
Utilize company-approved patrol vehicles when assigned
Monitoring and Response
Monitor surveillance systems, access control systems, alarm systems, and related security equipment when required by site
Respond appropriately to unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, alarms, disturbances, and safety issues
Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and client contacts as required
Notify law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary and in accordance with company policy and site expectations
Documentation and Reporting
Complete daily blotters, vehicle logs, patrol activity logs, and incident reports accurately and on time
Document site activity thoroughly and professionally
Communicate important site updates, issues, and incidents to the appropriate parties
Professional Conduct and Compliance
Follow all company policies, site procedures, and applicable laws
Maintain a neat appearance and wear the assigned uniform and equipment properly
Remain awake, alert, and fit for duty at all times
Participate in all required training and maintain all required certifications and qualifications
Protect sensitive site and company information in accordance with confidentiality expectations
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age
- High-school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass and maintain physical qualifications and physical agility testing upon initial hire and annually (must execute 1.5 mile run in 17.5 minutes and must execute 19 standard pushups within 2 minutes)
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather and defend against personal attack
- Must possess personal qualities of good conduct and character, integrity, dependability, and good mental and physical fitness
- Ability to effectively use issued semi-automatic pistols (minimum 9MM caliber) using standard ammunition
- Must possess and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) or equivalent background check (including DPSST fingerprint, LEDS, and NCIC checks)
- No felony conviction, Class A misdemeanor conviction, or conviction of any crime involving dishonesty
- Must not be registered as a sex offender
- Must pass a specific inquiry into suitability as per the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 for armed security guard employment.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
