PT/FT Line Cook – Stable Craft Brewing (Waynesboro, VA)
(Yes, you. The one hiding in the walk-in pretending to “check temps”)
We’re a chef-driven, high-volume spot that actually believes work-life balance isn’t some unicorn
If you’re a lead-line beast who’s sick of 70-hour weeks and clopens, this is your way out.
Weekly availability needs:
- Fridays 3-10
- Saturdays 2-10
- Sundays 1-9
- 1st Wednesday of the month 4-9
Monday + Tuesday off EVERY week
(No more “maybe I’ll see my friends this decade”)
What we need:
- You’ve run a station like a war general and can teach the new kids without screaming (most of the time)
- You still get goosebumps when the rail sings in perfect harmony
- You want to keep learning, contribute ideas, and actually be heard
What you get:
- Guaranteed Monday + Tuesday off (touch grass, drink on a patio, live like a human)
- Schedules posted 3 weeks in advance
- Competitive pay + full benefits package that doesn’t insult you:
- Health, dental, and vision (yes, we cover the eye exam after you stare into the salamander too long)
- 2 weeks paid time off (use it — we’ll survive)
- 7 paid holidays (Christmas Eve & Day, Thanksgiving off? Wild, we know)
- 401(k) with match (because one day you’ll want to retire before you’re 65)
- Menu input, stages, and a team that high-fives more than it side-eyes
If you’ve ever…
- Used a deli lid as a sled down the prep table
- Lost a three-day war with the label maker
- Called the walk-in “my office” unironically
- Put out a pan fire with the soda gun and called it flair
- Replied “heard” so many times you answer your mom that way
- Accidentally set off the Ansul system and still got tickets out
…then you already belong here.
Send your résumé + your single best kitchen war story (current champions include the Flamethrower Soda Gun Incident, or when the fryer decided to reenact Pompeii (vegan survived), the night the walk-in door handle fell off and trapped Chef for 20 minutes,
