Job Overview
The Program Support Coordinator provides operations support with emphasis on Assistant Director or Branch Director-level coverage. This position travels frequently among all BGCCW branches and supports daily Club staffing needs as a Youth Development Professional, Assistant Director, or Branch Director as needed. As assigned, they temporarily assume on-site authority while leading safe, engaging programming in every area of the Club to ensure program quality during staffing shortages . When emergency coverage is not required, the Program Support Coordinator supports development and improvement by shadowing and modeling high-quality session facilitation.
Duties
- Act as the onsite supervisor in the absence of a branch director at one of our eleven Club sites in Natrona, Fremont, Johnson, and Converse Counties.
- Fill in as a frontline Youth Development Professional when there are staffing shortages at any of our eleven Club sites.
- Provide leadership and support in all Club programs, events, and activities.
- Maintain a high quality program with a continuous quality improvement mindset.
- Provide Clear expectations, coaching, and performance feedback to team members in a manner that reflects self-awareness, and situational adaptability.
- As assigned, meet reporting deadlines for program reports, snack reports, attendance tracking, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in leading organizational trainings.
- Attend meeting as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
- A four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience in youth development.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth-development organization or school district, with specific experience in planning and supervising activities.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to plan, and lead programs in all Club program areas with mulitiple age groups.
- Strong knowledge of positive youth development, high-quality sessions, behavior support, staff positioning, and Club safety.
- Ability to lead groups of individuals that you are not the direct supervisor of.
- Excellent time management, task prioritization, organization, and judgement abilities.
- Familiarity with a variety of computer software.
- Must be willing to travel regularly to all BGCCW Club locations across our multi-county reach.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have a clean driving record and ability to be approved for organizational vehicle insurance.
- First aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to work evenings.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
