Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven, hands-on Vice President of Sales to lead sales growth across our commercial truck, truck parts, repair service, ready-mix, concrete pump, and equipment business.
This is not a desk-only VP position. The VP of Sales must be a player-coach and one of the hardest-working salespeople in the company. The successful candidate will be expected to become our top-producing sales representative while simultaneously building the systems, processes, accountability, and coaching needed to make the entire sales organization more successful.
Our national headquarters is located in Denver, Colorado, with additional operations in Phoenix and Seattle. This position will be based in Denver and will manage sales activity across all locations and national accounts.
The ideal candidate combines commercial truck industry knowledge, aggressive prospecting, HubSpot expertise, technology and AI skills, sales leadership, and strong closing ability.
Key ResponsibilitiesBe the Company's Top-Producing Salesperson
The VP of Sales is expected to personally generate significant revenue and lead from the front.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospect 50–100 targeted leads per day through phone, email, LinkedIn, databases, AI tools, industry directories, referrals, partners, and other outbound channels.
- Develop new business for:
- Commercial truck parts
- Ready-mix truck and mixer parts
- Commercial truck repair and service
- Fleet truck sales
- Concrete pumps and concrete pumping equipment
- Commercial trucks
- Construction and specialty equipment
- Related parts, service, and equipment opportunities
- Build relationships with fleet managers, ready-mix companies, concrete contractors, municipalities, construction companies, trucking companies, equipment operators, and other commercial customers.
- Personally manage the company's largest, highest-value, and most strategic accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits throughout the Denver region.
- Use the provided company truck to meet with ready-mix, concrete pump, fleet, and other commercial customers.
- Develop long-term relationships that generate recurring parts, service, truck, and equipment revenue.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Sales Leadership
The VP of Sales will be responsible for developing a high-performance sales culture across our Denver, Phoenix, and Seattle locations.
Responsibilities include:
- Coach, train, and mentor sales representatives.
- Establish clear expectations for prospecting activity, follow-up, pipeline management, quoting, and closing.
- Review individual sales pipelines and help representatives move opportunities toward closing.
- Hold salespeople accountable for CRM usage and follow-up.
- Help sales representatives improve prospecting, product knowledge, objection handling, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Develop repeatable sales processes that can be implemented across all company locations.
- Lead regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews.
- Identify performance issues early and develop action plans to improve results.
- Help recruit, onboard, and develop additional salespeople as the company grows.
The VP of Sales must lead by example. We expect the leader of the sales organization to demonstrate the prospecting discipline, CRM usage, responsiveness, customer service, and closing ability expected from every member of the sales team.
HubSpot & CRM Leadership
The successful candidate must be a HubSpot guru.
The VP of Sales will own the sales organization's use of HubSpot and ensure that it becomes the central system for managing leads, customers, opportunities, and sales activity.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage sales pipelines within HubSpot.
- Establish and maintain lead stages, deal stages, tasks, sequences, workflows, and follow-up processes.
- Manage incoming lead assignment across sales representatives and locations.
- Ensure leads are contacted quickly and consistently.
- Create systems so that leads do not get lost or forgotten.
- Track calls, emails, meetings, quotes, opportunities, and follow-up activity.
- Build dashboards that clearly show sales activity and results.
- Ensure sales representatives consistently and accurately use HubSpot.
- Integrate or coordinate lead-generation platforms so leads automatically funnel into HubSpot whenever practical.
- Work with management and marketing to continuously improve CRM processes and sales automation.
AI, Technology & Database Prospecting
This position requires someone who is highly technology-driven and comfortable using modern sales tools.
The VP of Sales must be able to use AI, databases, automation, and online research tools to identify and develop new prospects.
Responsibilities include:
- Use AI tools to research companies, markets, fleets, and potential customers.
- Build targeted prospect lists by geography, industry, company type, fleet size, equipment type, and other criteria.
- Use commercial databases, industry directories, LinkedIn, public information, and other data sources to identify decision-makers.
- Develop scalable outbound prospecting campaigns.
- Use technology to increase the number and quality of sales opportunities generated by the company.
- Evaluate new sales technologies and lead-generation platforms.
- Help connect lead sources, websites, marketing campaigns, databases, and prospecting platforms into HubSpot.
- Use AI to improve prospect research, email personalization, sales preparation, account planning, and sales productivity.
Candidates who are uncomfortable with technology, CRM systems, AI, or high-volume outbound prospecting will not be a fit for this position.
Marketing & Partner Lead Generation
The VP of Sales will work closely with the company's marketing team, manufacturers, vendors, and business partners to increase lead flow.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate sales and marketing campaigns.
- Provide marketing with information about target industries, customer needs, products, territories, and opportunities.
- Develop campaigns around parts, service, trucks, concrete pumps, and equipment.
- Work with manufacturer and vendor partners to identify sales opportunities.
- Develop referral and channel relationships.
- Help create promotions and targeted campaigns that produce measurable sales opportunities.
- Ensure marketing-generated leads receive immediate and consistent sales follow-up.
- Provide feedback to marketing regarding lead quality and conversion.
Lead Management & Accountability
The VP of Sales will be responsible for ensuring that every qualified lead has an owner and a clear follow-up plan.
Responsibilities include:
- Assign inbound and outbound leads to appropriate sales representatives.
- Establish expectations for response times and follow-up frequency.
- Monitor open opportunities and aging leads.
- Reassign opportunities when necessary.
- Personally handle major or strategically important accounts.
- Create accountability around quotes and proposals.
- Track lead sources and determine which sources generate the highest-quality opportunities and revenue.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
The VP of Sales must provide management with clear visibility into sales performance.
Weekly reporting will include:
- Sales by representative
- Sales by location
- Sales by product/business category
- New leads generated
- Prospecting activity
- Calls, emails, meetings, and customer visits
- Quotes and proposals
- Pipeline value
- Major opportunities
- Expected closing dates
- Sales forecast
- Lead conversion

The VP of Sales will be expected to provide accurate weekly forecasts and clearly communicate what is happening within the sales organization.
Required Qualifications
- Proven B2B sales success with the ability to personally generate and close new business.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to conduct high-volume outbound prospecting.
- Strong knowledge of HubSpot CRM and sales automation.
- Strong understanding of modern prospecting tools, databases, and lead-generation platforms.
- Ability to effectively use AI tools for sales and prospecting.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to manage salespeople across multiple locations.
- Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills.
- Excellent phone, email, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Comfortable selling both transactional products and larger capital equipment.
- Ability to develop relationships with owners, executives, fleet managers, purchasing managers, service managers, and operations personnel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to follow-up.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and periodically between company locations and customer sites.

Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary plus monthly performance bonuses, creating strong six-figure earning potential for a high performer.
Compensation will reward both personal sales production and overall sales organization performance.
A company truck will be provided for business use, including visiting customers and prospects throughout the Denver region.
