Responsibilities
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to guest tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices.
- Ensure all dishes are presented accurately according to order specifications, including special dietary requests.
- Support food preparation and plating when needed, adhering to food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service.
- Provide excellent in-person customer service by warmly greeting guests and promptly responding to their needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments demonstrating strong guest service skills.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper cleaning techniques to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during busy service periods.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and interact positively with guests.
- Experience in food running, serving, or bussing enhances your ability to support seamless restaurant operations.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices, food preparation, and general restaurant operations.
