MRI Technologist
Outpatient imaging center with 3 locations (Clear Lake, Pasadena, Scarsdale) has full-time Evening MRI Tech position available.
Hours: Evenings (2pm-close)
Pay: Depending on Experience
Duties Responsibilities:

Perform MRI procedures on patients: Prepares patients for MRI exams, explains procedure, administers contrast, when necessary, positions patients for the MRI scanner, selects appropriate scanning techniques and ensures technical quality of the scan.

Encourage patients to comply with difficult techniques and empathize, counsel, and reassure patients who are nervous and apprehensive.

Use magnet safety practices and screen all patients and employees who enter magnet areas.

Work with department information system and PACS system.

Able to work independently and adapt to dynamic work volumes.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma /GED
-
Graduate of a two-year radiological technology program. Need to have Certificate, AAS, BS or MS in Radiologic Technology, etc.

Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

CPR/BLS certification through either the Red Cross or the American Heart Association

Minimum of one-year experience as a registered Radiologic technologist or a modality in the radiology field. Previous MRI experience is preferred

Requires a moderate amount of physical activity working with equipment and maneuvering patients

The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a demonstrated ability to work at fast pace.
